XML Belge Nesnesi
Document nesnesi, bir XML belge ağacının köküdür ve bize belgenin verilerine birincil erişim sağlar.
Öğe düğümleri, metin düğümleri, yorumlar, işleme talimatları vb. belgenin dışında bulunamayacağından, Document nesnesi de bu nesneleri oluşturma yöntemlerini içerir. Düğüm nesnelerinin, onları oluşturuldukları Belge ile ilişkilendiren bir OwnerDocument özelliği vardır.

DocumentType Nesne Özellikleri
Her belgenin, değeri null veya DocumentType nesnesi olan bir DOCTYPE özniteliği vardır.
DocumentType nesnesi, bir XML belgesi için tanımlanan varlıklara bir arabirim sağlar.

Bir işleme talimatı, işlemciye özgü bilgileri XML belgesinin metninde tutmanın bir yolu olarak kullanılır.
