Tanım ve Kullanım

alt özelliği, bir görüntünün alt niteliğinin değerini ayarlar veya döndürür.

Gerekli alt niteliği, herhangi bir nedenle resim görüntülenemiyorsa (yavaş bağlantı, src özelliğindeki bir hata veya kullanıcı bir ekran okuyucu kullanıyorsa), resim için alternatif bir metin belirtir.

Not: Internet Explorer, fareyle <img> öğesinin üzerine gelindiğinde araç ipucu olarak alt özniteliğinin değerini görüntüler. HTML spesifikasyonuna göre bu doğru davranış DEĞİLDİR. Diğer tüm tarayıcılar spesifikasyonu takip eder ve yalnızca resim görüntülenemiyorsa alternatif metni görüntüler.
